This document covers the general requirements for Transverse Electromagnetic Mode (TEM) Transmission Lines (see 6.4.14) intended for use in airborne systems.

Classification:

The TEM transmission lines covered by this specification shall consist of the following types and classes (see 6.4.3).

Types:

Type I - Designed for use in the 2.0 - 8.0 GHz range.

Type II - Designed for use in the 2.0 - 16.0 GHz range.

Classes:

Class 1 - Flexible construction.

Class 2 - Semiflexible construction.

Class 3 - Rigid construction.
