CEA-897 defines the colors for marking F-connectors commonly used for electronic devices in a home television system. Example home television systems are included in Annex A (Informative), but are not necessarily limited to those examples.

CEA-897 does not address color coding other connectors commonly used for electronic devices in a home theater system. See EIA/CEA-863.
