This part of IEC 1069 covers the method to be used to systematically assess the performance of an industrial process measurement and control systems. The assessment methodology detailed in IEC 1069-2 is applied to obtain the performance assessment programme. The subsidary performance properties are analyzed, and criteria to be taken into account when assessing performance are described.
