PURPOSE. This NASA Procedures and Guidelines (NPG) provides information and standards for the implementation of NASA policy, applicable laws, and regulations relating to printing, duplicating, and copying. The topics addressed include a description of relevant laws and regulations, authorizations required, and responsible entities for NASA printing, duplicating, and copying. The policy of NASA is to ensure understanding and application of authority and responsibility on printing matters. Where necessary, this NPG will clarify the intent of the basic laws and regulations applicable to NASA.

APPLICABILITY AND SCOPE. This NPG applies to NASA Headquarters and all NASA Centers. Certain requirements of the NPG may also apply to NASA contractors and grantees to the extent provided for under the terms of their contracts, grants, or cooperative agreements. Compliance with the provisions of this NPG will be considered as compliance with Section 207 of Public Law 102-392 (as amended by Public Law 103-283, July 22, 1994) published by the Congressional Joint Committee on Printing (JCP).
