NASA strives to ensure a workplace that is free of illegal drugs and to eliminate illegal drug use by all employees in the NASA workplace. This NPG establishes the responsibilities, procedures, and guidelines for a comprehensive Drug-Free Workplace Program, as required by law and approved by the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). It provides Agency direction, which should be used in conjunction with the referenced statutory and regulatory requirements. Center Personnel Offices should be consulted for further information and guidance.
