ESDU 81016 gives dynamic viscosity data at saturation pressure for 71 aromatic hydrocarbons. These include benzene and its straight chain derivatives up to C26, dimethylbenzene (xylene) and other methyl straight chain derivatives up to C21, and 8 other compounds such as cumene, naphthalene and biphenyl. The data were critically evaluated and fitted by a single equation for which the coefficients for each compound are provided. The values are tabulated at intervals of 10 K from the melting point to 0.9 of the critical temperature. Data for some compounds have been estimated and this is clearly indicated. Guidance on the effect of pressure is also given.
