Hose Types

These requirements cover Type I, Type II and Type III Hose used f o r the transfer or conducting of Propane and Natural Gas.

Type I Hose refers to hose w i t h a MAXIMUM operating pressure of 350 psig (2.4 MPa) and a MINIMUM burst pressure of 1750 psig (12.1 MPa ) .

Type II and Type IIIHose refers to stainless steel braid reinforced hose designed with a MAXIMUM operating pressure of 350 psig (2.4 MPa) and a MINIMUM burst pressure.

Units of Measure

This standard contains SI (Metric) equivalents to the yard/pound quantities, the purpose being to allow the standard to be used in SI (Metric) units. If a value for a measurement as given in this standard is followed by an equivalent value in other units, the first stated is to be regarded as the requirement. The given equivalent may be approximate.
