The scope of this document includes hydrogen storage systems in which the hydrogen is absorbed in reversible metal hydrides and for which the system is designed to permanently contain the solid material so only hydrogen gas is introduced into or removed from the system. This document provides guidance to regulatory authorities, manufacturers, and users for the classification and labeling of these systems.
