This standard specifies requirements and gives recommendations for the design, material selection, manufacture, design verification, testing, installation and operation of subsea control systems, chemical injection, gas lift, utility and service umbilicals and associated ancillary equipment for the petroleum and natural gas industries. This revision of ISO 13628-5 will create new technical input on those areas that are not described in sufficient detail or are missing in the current ISO 13628-5. General design philosophies will be given and detailed solutions will be provided for prioritized issues identified by the industry.
