This specification covers marking machines capable of marking electrical wire as covered by Specification MIL-W-5086, sizes from AN-0000 to AN-22 inclusive, and flexible electrical insulation sleeving as covered by Specification MIL-I-7444, sizes from 3/32 to 1 inch ID inclusive, to meet the requirements of Specification MIL-W-5088, and as otherwise specified herein. The marking machines and accessories shall also be suitable for marking electrical wires having outer coverings such as extruded nylon, Kel-F, and solid Teflon, as used on military aircraft.
