This document specifies: a) the field of application; b) the requirements for pressurised air inlet valves; c) the dimensional, the physico-chemical properties and the properties of general hydraulic, mechanical and acoustic design to which pressurised air inlet valves of nominal sizes DN 15 up to and including DN 50; d) the test procedure and requirements for verifying these properties; e) the marking and the presentation; f) the acoustics. This document specifies the characteristics of pressurised air inlet valves of nominal size DN 15 up to and including DN 50 that are suitable for use in drinking water systems at pressures up to and including 1 MPa (10 bar) and temperatures up to and including 65 celcius degrees anfd for 1 h at 90 celcius degrees.
