This document specifies: - the field of application; - the requirements for pipe interrupters with permanent atmospheric vent; - the dimensional, the physico-chemical properties and the properties of general hydraulic, mechanical and acoustic design to which pipe interrupter with permanent atmospheric vent of nominal sizes DN 10 up to and including DN 20; - the test method and requirements for verifying these properties, transferred to 10.1; - the marking and the presentation; - the acoustics. This document specifies the characteristics of one type of pipe interrupters with permanent atmospheric vent nominal size DN 10 up to and including DN 20 that are suitable for use in drinking water systems at pressures up to and including 1 MPa (10 bar) and temperatures up to and including 65 celcius degrees anfd for 1 h at 90 celcius degrees.
