Purpose

This document specifies guidelines for display of rated persons capacity marking of personal watercraft. It is intended as a guide toward standard practice and is subject to change to keep pace with experience and technical advances.

Rationale

SAE J2566 was developed as a uniform method for display of persons capacity marking for manufacturers to follow that reflects the number of persons a watercraft is rated to carry.
