Form

This specification covers a titanium alloy in the form of bars, wire, forgings, flash welded rings, and stock for forging or flash welded rings.

Application

These products have been used typically for parts requiring good weldability and high strength-to-weight ratio operating from -250 to -423 °F (-155 to -255 °C), but usage is not limited to such applications. The room and elevated temperature strengths of this alloy are lower than those of AMS 4926 and AMS 4966.
