Form:
This specification covers a silver alloy in the form of wire, rod, sheet, strip, foil, pig, powder, shot, and chips and a viscous mixture (paste) of powder in a suitable binder.
Application:
This material has been used typically for brazing corrosion-resistant honeycomb structures and for joining alloys containing minor amounts of aluminum or titanium, where service temperature will not exceed 900 °F (482 °C), but usage is not limited to such applications. Oxidation of the brazed alloy may occur during long-time exposure to such temperatures.
