Application:

These products have been used typically for structural, machined parts but usage is not limited to such applications.

This material may be welded in the T6 condition but properties are improved by heat treatment after welding.

Certain design and fabricating procedures may cause these products to become susceptible to stress-corrosion cracking; ARP823 recommends practices to minimize such conditions.
