Purpose

This specification covers the requirements for brush plating of noncyanide silver by electrodeposition.

Application

This process has been used typically to lower electrical contact resistance, prevent galling or seizing of surfaces of parts to improve corrosion resistance of steel parts and to repair silver deposits but usage is not limited to such applications.
