Purpose: This specification covers the engineering requirements for electroless deposition of nickelboron on various materials and the properties of the deposit.

Application: Primarily to provide mar-resistant and corrosion-resistant surfaces with good solderability using a mildly activated rosin flux. For other applications where solderability and low contact resistance are not required, AMS 2404 should be considered.
