Application

This method is primarily concerned with the removal of pitting corrosion and heavy surface oxidation from exterior aluminum surfaces of aircraft.

Precautions

Compounds meeting the requirements of this specification may cause hydrogen embrittlement of high-strength steels and will remove cadmium plate.
